TRACE
TRACE combines runtime tracing of connected embedded devices with cloud-based evaluation and formal verification.

Technical approach
Connected embedded systems produce runtime data at several devices and interfaces. To analyse the system, these data must be aligned in time, assigned to system states and considered together.
TRACE studies how these steps can be implemented in one continuous platform. The platform captures traces, manages them by project and compares observed behaviour with a formal description of the expected system behaviour.
A gateway records runtime data from field and laboratory devices.
Trace data is transferred to the central cloud infrastructure.
LogiTrace checks observed behaviour against the formal specification.
A web interface and API provide results for analysis and reporting.
Applications
TRACE manages devices, trace sessions and results by project. This allows the same verification workflow to be used in development, quality assurance and research.
